Wellness and Lifestyle Genomic Reports

QPHI started a project on reporting wellness and lifestyle traits based on analyzing whole genome sequencing data of QPHI participants. Wellness and lifestyle reports include 29 different traits related to body weight, response to diet and eating behavior, food reactions, exercise, and metabolic health factors.

The third phase of the study is currently being conducted through a pilot study aiming to deliver and assess wellness and lifestyle genomic reports to QPHI participants.

BRCA Study

Preliminary analyses of our WGS data have identified participants harboring pathogenic BRCA1 and BRCA2 variants. In collaboration with HMC, a pilot study is being conducted to evaluate logistics for referring these participants to the National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR). This would allow them to benefit from the specialist standard of care services available to best manage their risk of cancer.
